The house is situated on a long, narrow and sloping site allowing for a house only 17 feet wide. There is a conscious decision to fit into the existing neighbourhood with a simple gable roof and modest 2 storey massing. The main floor structure is a stepped, responding to the steep slope as you descend to the rear of the site. The cladding direction changes create texture on the simple facade.
